Perceptions
You
couldn´t look me in the eyes
or at yourself in the mirror
anymore
You
conflicting feelings
Each one consistent
but together strange
Fragments of a whole
I try to understand
I´m getting to know
gradually
But I´m not sure how they interact
The more I get to know
The stranger it becomes
The picture in my head
Full of picked up thoughts
Others have about you
And I ask myself
will I ask myself?
what I really see in you
Who are you, daring
judge me - not caring
you are not me
Who are you, daring
Reproach me - not caring
That you may be misunderstanding me
They already start
Starting to talk'
Talking `bout you
I´ve never said
Said a thing against
Cause I was unsure
What will they do?
What do they have in mind?
What they thought they knew,
has this become really true?
What was this all about?
Why is their voice this loud?
It´s them to be in the minority
Who are you, daring
judge me - not caring
you are not me
Who are you, daring
Reproach me - not caring
That you may be misunderstanding me
„They seem to be strange
They do not fit here
Why do they not conform?”
I heard you say – I heard you say
So much judgement around – no one wants to hear
Only uttered to fill – unbearable silence
That comes up when no one has anything to say
Who are you, daring
judge me - not caring
you are not me
Who are you, daring
Reproach me - not caring
That you may be misunderstanding me
