After four years, the young Friedberg rock band is disbanding. Two members are from Königsbrunn. Fans can say goodbye at the final concert.
On Saturday, March 29, the band llostjam will perform a big farewell concert, including a light show. The concert, which will take place at the Cafe Divano in the St. Jakob parish center in Friedberg, will mark a fitting end for a band that has made a name for itself in the regional music scene.
"Our time as a band was incredibly enriching for all of us, as it gave us insights into the local music scene and provided interesting encounters with other bands, both large and small, in the area. Through our frequent performances, we learned a great deal about stage presence and communication in the event industry," says band member Jacob Kramer. He founded the band together with Lenja Seltmann (vocals), Leila Nadjafı (drums), and Matthias Wörner (bass). The four musicians, aged between 16 and 19, hail from the Augsburg/Friedberg area and have developed their own unique sound with their blend of classic rock and modern influences.
What began as a school band quickly developed into an ambitious music project. The members' paths crossed during their school years, when award-winning Friedberg guitarist Jacob Kramer and talented multi-instrumentalist Leila Nadjafı had the idea of forming a band together. With Matthias Wörner on bass and singer Lenja Seltmann, the lineup was complete. Initially, the band primarily played cover songs, which quickly garnered enthusiasm in the local music scene. But the urge to tell their own stories wasn't long in coming.
Their first original song, "Opera Premiere," was created with the support of the Munich City Library and recorded at the Gasteig HP8 in Munich – an ironic song that already hinted at the band's idiosyncratic style. Over time, their repertoire of self-written pieces grew. Their first studio album, "Lost in Reflection," released at the end of 2023, was self-produced – from recording to mixing. It combines diverse songs that address themes such as war, alienation, and the challenges of modern times.
2024 saw the single "Come Here Someday," a song that explores inner turmoil in an increasingly fast-paced world. Most recently, the song "Gotta Get Away," whose music video was shot in Munich, was released on February 28, 2025. The song forms a sonic bridge to their eponymous debut single from 2023 – a circle that has now come full circle.
In addition to their studio work, llostjam has regularly performed live. In 2024, the band achieved 4th place in the Bavarian finals of the renowned Emergenza band competition at Backstage in Munich. Performances at festivals such as Sommer am Kiez in Augsburg, the Augsburger Sommernächten, and local benefit concerts made the four members an integral part of the regional music scene. "Being able to present their own songs to a larger audience, live on stage and on streaming platforms, was probably the best part of the band's time, along with our friendship," says Kramer.
The approaching start of university for two members and personal changes are now leading to the band's departure from the stage. Before the final curtain falls, llostjam will give their audience one last chance to experience their music live. An evening that also marks the beginning of new paths.
The final concert will take place on Saturday, March 29, at 7 p.m. at the Divano in Friedberg.
